Our Story
2024 marks the 5th annual Field of Honor in Stoneham.
Originally introduced by the Stoneham Veterans Day Committee—previously known as the Memorial Day Parade Committee—the Field of Honor Flag Display has become a cherished addition to the town’s observances during Veterans Week since its inception in 2020, amid the challenges of the pandemic. Hundreds of U.S. flags, mounted on 7½-foot tall flagpoles, filled the Central Middle School field, creating a stunning panorama of red, white, and blue. Each year, the number of flags displayed continues to grow, making the Field of Honor an increasingly powerful tribute to our nation's veterans and first responders.
Stoneham Field of Honor is a non-profit and donates all proceeds to these organizations and other local veteran causes.
